SilverSneakers is a privately run fitness benefit, not a Medicare program and not administered by CMS. You can only access it through a Medicare Advantage plan, Medicare Supplement plan, or group retiree plan that includes it as a perk — it's not something you can buy on its own, and Original Medicare alone doesn't include it.
It's distributed through a large network of participating insurance carriers, giving members access to a wide network of participating gyms, fitness locations, and community organizations nationwide.

Membership typically includes access to cardio and strength equipment, pools, walking tracks, and branded group fitness classes at participating locations. Personal training is usually not included and would be an extra out-of-pocket cost.
There's also a digital option — on-demand workout videos and an app for finding locations, scheduling classes, and tracking your progress, which is useful if you'd rather work out at home some days. A similar program, Silver&Fit, is offered by some other plans as an alternative.
